Grace Street Café is an adorable eatery in K-Town in Manhattan, famous for their Korean Doughnuts which are listed as one of the best doughnuts in New York. Grace Street is also known for their floral milk teas, tasty drinks, shaved ice and waffles. The atmosphere in Grace Street is peaceful, you could spend hours in there just basking in the light smell of lattes and waffles in the morning. So, if you’re ever looking for a place to have a peaceful instagrammable morning with some amazing baked goods and drinks in the city, look no further than Grace Street.
When I walked into Grace Street Cafe I was in awe of the decor and ambiance it boasted, it was a comfy but modern styled cafe with glass and wooden accents that make for excellent photos. Grace Streets menu offers various drinks like lattes, teas and even lemonades as well as confectionaries like they’re flavored waffles which all sound super yummy, in addition to beignets, ice cream and Shaved Ice. They’re service is rather fast during the day, I ordered a Churro flavored waffle and a specialty rose milk tea, and my order was ready within 5 minutes.
The service is very fast and efficient considering the fact that they artistically craft all of their drinks, for example, with my Rose Milk Tea, the barista forming the design on the top of it with a paintbrush. And placed rose petals on the top of it. In addition, the waffles came out in record time as well and were plated beautifully, Grace Street plates their food and drinks on very eclectic plates and cute aesthetic white mugs that are perfect for any Instagram feed. For the take-out guests they give boxes and to go cups with cute stickers that also go with the cute vibe of Grace Street.
The Churro Waffles were soft, light, sugary and came paired with some vanilla ice cream and caramel which all went together perfectly. The waffles literally tasted like Churros and weren’t overpoweringly sweet, which I appreciated. Grace Street also has many flavors of waffles that sound amazing, like the Green Tea Ice Cream Waffle (Totally going to try next time), The Mochi Waffle and the Avocado Katsuobushi Waffle just to name a few. My friend had the Mochi Waffle and it was covered in berries, fruit, Nutella and whipped cream which looked wonderful, it was an amazing meal to start the day.
The Rose Milk Tea was honestly one of the best teas I have ever had, not only was it so beautiful, but it also tasted just like roses. Now I know floral tastes can sometimes be overpowering but not this one, this tea had the taste of roses in the most amazingly subtle way possible. I’ve never had such an amazingly calming tea, Grace Street also has other flavored milk teas like the Royal Milk Tea, and the Passion Fruit Tea which are all Gluten Free. I would definitely come back to Grace Street to try all of their wonderfully crafted drinks because they all look amazing.
There are so many new things at Grace Street to try like their Shaved Ice, which is really Shaved Snow because the Ice is shaved so fine it is a literal pile of snow that melts in your mouth. Grace Street also has many Gluten Free and Vegan options and all of their food has no preservatives, no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial flavors. Grace Street Café is one of my favorite little cafes in the city and I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a warm drink and some cute pics.
