Trinity Church in Manhattan's Lower East Side is a sight to behold with its Gothic architectural Magnificence peaking out from behind massive modern skyscrapers; just steps away from the New York Stock Exchange. As you walk into the Church, you are overcome with the feeling of serenity and your mind drifts to the most quiet of places. Trinity Church's mesmerizing and calming aura, from the bustling street of New York City to the beautiful hallowed ground of it's inner sanctuary, leaves you feeling completely at peace. The oldest church in New York City, and once the tallest building in the United Sates until 1869; this church still holds the power of its past in its present state. Trinity Church is the home of Alexander Hamilton's grave, the final resting place of perhaps one of the greatest Americans in History who was instrumental in creating the Bank of North America. Hamilton's engraved headstone and plaque (as seen in photos catagory) is massively impressive and sums up his life poignantly - "Patriot, Soldier, Statesman"- Even in death folks from all over visit, and as a sort of homage to the banking industry's founder they toss coins at his grave...perhaps for some luck in their economic endeavors.
